Share Your Inclusion Story
We believe that changing heartsets around inclusion starts with stories, and changing mindsets starts with facts.
To advance our mission, we are gathering a library of personal stories of inclusion from educators, leaders, families, and students.
Overview
Share a short 2–5 minute story that highlights the transformative moments where inclusion touched your life. This may have occurred in your school, your classroom, your family, or your personal journey as a teacher or administrator.
Guidelines
- Length: 25-750 words for written text; 2-5 minutes for video (preferred) and audio
- Focus: Share a specific moment or experience that illustrates the impact of inclusion.
- Confidentiality: Please do not use student names, photos, or identifiable details unless you have explicit permission from the family. You may use pseudonyms or general descriptions (e.g., “a student in my class”).
- Respect: Ensure your story honors the dignity of all individuals and reflects SENIA’s values of equity, belonging, and respect.
- School Permission: If using your school’s name in your story, ensure you have permission from the Head of School
