Peer Connections Program
Purpose
Sometimes we just need to connect with other like-minded people who are focused on supporting and increasing inclusive practices in order to:
- provide or receive mentorship
- share resources & ideas
- develop leadership skills
- provide or receive emotional/peer support
- talk through challenges of practice
- network
Participant Selection & Matching
Who is eligible?
- Active Teacher Reps, Active Chapter Board Members
How many people will be in a group?
- We will connect 2-4 people, depending on preference and availability.
What will we consider when matching people?
- Location/time zone, Role, Size of school, desired focus for group
How to Connect & How Often
Ideally, we would like for groups to meet virtually or in person at least 1x per month for 40 – 60 minutes. That being said, we know that life is busy. Find what works for you!
Ways You Could Connect:
- Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp, Email, Facebook, Instagram, Chat, Discourse, Other…
- Your group will determine what works for you.
- It may be different in each group… and that is ok!
