For a smooth visit, start with these three options.
Grab and Gojek are widely used in Jakarta and are available through their apps. They are usually low to moderate in cost, depending on distance and traffic.

Airport transfers can be arranged through Bluebird or your hotel. Silverbird, including Toyota Alphard vehicles, may be available for larger groups or travelers wanting more space and comfort.

Car rentals are available through providers such as Astra and Avis, as well as through hotels and international providers. If you prefer not to book independently, your hotel may be able to assist.

Sidewalks in Jakarta can be inconsistent, though some areas such as Central Jakarta are more pedestrian-friendly. Walking from the Kristal Hotel is possible and takes about 5 minutes. Bike lanes exist, but they are not widely used by visitors.
