Lori Boll, Executive Director of SENIA International, brings over 25 years of experience in inclusive education, shaped by both professional expertise and personal connection. Her advocacy began in 2003 when her son was diagnosed with autism and an intellectual developmental disability, inspiring her commitment to more inclusive schools.

Lori holds master’s degrees in Reading and Special Education and worked in international and U.S. schools, including in Riyadh, Jakarta, Shanghai, Bangkok, and the U.S., where she has led the development of programs for students with higher support needs.

She is the co-author of Navigating Special Education Relationships, a resource for schools and parents. In Lori’s current role with SENIA, she supports educators worldwide in advancing inclusive practices for all students.

Zachary Berezowski is a dynamic educational leader with over a decade of experience in leadership, teacher development, and implementing Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) in International Baccalaureate (IB) environments. He has a demonstrated history of leading diverse teams to achieve measurable improvements in student outcomes through strategic planning and resource management.

With a deep commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments, Zachary is known for developing academic programs that champion equity, celebrate diversity, and promote a sense of belonging for all students. He is an expert in creating data-driven interventions and professional development initiatives to empower both staff and students.

His experience includes roles at The KAUST School, Shanghai Community International School, Atlanta International School, International School of Lausanne, Canadian International School, and Dasman Model School.

April J. Remfrey, MS, is an educational consultant who focuses her time working with international schools and globally mobile families with neurodiverse children. She works with international schools to help improve their inclusive practices through professional development and ongoing support.

She has a BA in special education and elementary education from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, USA and received a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA in Exceptional Education. She has been a teacher for over 20 years in three countries and has experience in the public, private, and international school environments.

April serves on the International and European boards of directors for SENIA: Special Education Network and Inclusion Association.

Since 2013, April, her husband, and daughter have lived in the Zurich, Switzerland area. Never one to sit still, April likes to hike in the stunning Swiss Alps, cook gourmet food, and play clarinet in the local concert band.

Originally from Boise, Idaho USA, Mackenzie has been working in the education sector for nearly ten years and internationally for seven of those ten in Tajikistan, Ukraine, Malawi, and Chile. She holds a B.A. in Elementary and Special Education, M.S. in International Education and Leadership, and is a doctoral candidate studying International Educational Leadership with a focus on Curriculum & Instructional Leadership.

Mackenzie is an educator, leader, and advocate with a focus on the whole human and cultivating accessible educational spaces. She is passionate about partnering with classroom teachers to enhance their understanding and implementation of topics such as meeting the needs of all learners and neurodivergence and the ways this impacts classroom practices.

She has a vast repertoire of experience, including student support program and team leadership, classroom and direct intervention instruction, curriculum development, professional development facilitation, and instructional coaching. Mackenzie seeks to cultivate a culture amongst staff and students in which each individual has the opportunity to become a more empathetic, inclusive, and curious 21st century global citizen who will go on to make positive and thoughtful changes in the world.

Kim Bane is an international education consultant with Pathways to Inclusive Education, where she partners with schools around the world to design and implement inclusive practices that support all learners. With experience across 6 continents, Kim brings deep expertise and passion to the field of inclusive education.

She supports schools in building and sustaining cultures of belonging by helping teams think strategically about their goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them. Through coaching and consulting, Kim guides school leaders through the complexities of organizational change and provides direct support to teachers as they strengthen their instructional practices.

Her work focuses on key frameworks and approaches such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), the Co-Instructional Cycle (co-teaching), and tiered systems of support (MTSS) that promote the success of all students.

Originally from Minnesota, USA, Hannah became a third culture kid when her family moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2000. After spending 10 years there and graduating in international education, she fell in love with life abroad and the idea of teaching overseas, so choosing education as her university major was an easy decision.

It was volunteering with a Special Olympics program during university that led her to pursue special education specifically, and since starting her career, her goal has always been to make education more accessible and inclusive for all learners.

She has been based in Bangkok, Thailand since August 2020, when she joined International School Bangkok as the Elementary Life Centered Education teacher. Before moving to Bangkok, her career began with a similar teaching position at the International School of Brussels.

Now, after 8 years of working with an amazing neurodiverse population of students and some incredible educators, she is excited to be a part of the great work SENIA does around the world. A lifelong learner herself, she is currently enrolled in a Disability Studies graduate program that elevates the often underrepresented voices of self-advocates. Outside of school and work, she loves travel, food, and sports - particularly boxing and Muay Thai.

Laura Cox (she/her) is an international educator and leader originally from the US with Masters in both Special Education and Leadership. She is currently the K12 Inclusion Services Coordinator at the American International School of Johannesburg.

She is very geeky about MTSS, UDL, the Science of Reading, and Cognitive Coaching. These areas and much more are discussed in her blog Tales of La Tortugita.

After leaving her home country of Canada, Dr. Heather Naro began her overseas teaching career in 1992 in Egypt. In addition to Cairo, she has taught PE and elementary classrooms in Beijing, China, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For the past fifteen years, she has been a school administrator in Thailand, Nepal, Kazakhstan, and currently Cote d'Ivoire.

During her time overseas she has been a student advocate and has helped establish learning support programs in many of her schools. Heather firmly believes that all students can be successful given the proper conditions. She is excited to continue to support SENIA and the excellent work that they do in international schools.

Josh Flosi has been an educator for 25 years in public, private, and international schools. He currently leads Student Support Services at the International School of Tanganyika, an inclusive school in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Before that, he spent 10 years as a building administrator and then Assistant Director of Student Services in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District near Portland, Oregon, where he helped lead the transformation to a profoundly inclusive model of education.

He spent 14 years as a high school English and Social Studies teacher. He has also been an adjunct professor in a teacher preparation program and a regular presenter at conferences.

Josh is committed to promoting inclusive and excellent schools, believing that we all have the capacity to learn and the right to belong and contribute to a community. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Stanford University and his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Oregon. He enjoys traveling with his family, reading, coaching soccer, and crafting homemade ice cream.

Andrea is an experienced educator with a passion for fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments. With a background as an elementary school homeroom teacher, she has consistently championed student-led inquiry, empowering young learners to explore and engage deeply with the world around them. Andrea holds a Master’s in Education with a focus on literacy interventions, equipping her with specialized skills to support diverse learners in reaching their full potential.

Throughout her teaching career, Andrea has had the privilege of working in various international settings, including North America, the Middle East, and Asia. These experiences have enriched her perspective and deepened her commitment to creating inclusive classrooms where every student feels valued and supported.

Recently, Andrea has returned to her home country of Canada, where she continues to contribute to the field of education through her involvement with SENIA International. Beyond the classroom, she enjoys a range of outdoor activities, including kayaking and hiking, which allow her to connect with nature and recharge. Andrea is also an avid reader, home cook, and dedicated volunteer with local animal rescue organizations, reflecting her deep love for animals and her community.
